While I was designing the clothes hanger I thought about a tree that in autumn looses its leaves and from which you can admire the elegant shapes that seem like they are sculpted by a woodpecker’s beak. From this idea Picchio was born, a floor clothes hanger so ingenious that it can be placed in a closet during the summer and in any corner of your home during the winter.
Composed of four very thin elements, Picchio is mounted in a few minutes with the screwdriver, an ancient and fascinating tool, and an ancient vine at a long pace. The hand manufacturing and the study of every single element, make it slim and light, but absolutely resistant.
