Setting and decorating the table is an art.

It is not just about what to choose to put on the table, but decorate it with particular and evocative objects, that give those who sit at the table immediately a feeling of welcome and warmth. Decorating the table at Christmas becomes even more fun. Colors and Christmas items become elements to play with, to match with imagination and originality

It is not an impossible mission: all you need is a little bit of creativity, the choice of a style and the attention to details that often make the difference.

How to decorate the Christmas table?

Christmas is synonymous with warmth, atmosphere and tradition. The holiday table must be something special! Start with the choice of tablecloth: you can opt for a traditional one with warm colors from red and green , the typical Christmas shades, or choose cold tones, white and silver, as if it were a snowfall.

If you want to give a Christmas touch you can choose a bright red tablecloth and dishes decorated with motifs that recall the period. Fundamental, the choice of glasses and glasses for wine and flutes.

The choice of cutlery and crockery is another element not to be underestimated; it will be the objects that your guests will always have in hand!

The choice of centerpiece. A new idea for a table that remembers

Often the touch that gives originality is the centerpiece. A fruit, an evergreen Christmas plant, candles, dried fruit flowers are the elements that are never missing on the Christmas table.

Plinio has designed for Christmas this year a different object, which you can use in many ways, even after the Christmas period: our wooden tray, handmade.

A mimimal choice, the tray is made of oak wood, handmade and polished with cooked linen oil. You can decorate it with red candles and holly branches for a warm decor or choose cool colors, with transparent balls, such as pine cones and snowy balls, enclosed in a glass bell, which take up the shades of white and silver. The scent of candles and flowers should not be too strong, it should gently accompany your dinner or your Christmas lunch.

Plinio thought of the tray because the centerpiece must be low, allowing conversation and eye contact between diners. A decorated tray is perfect to give that extra touch and at the same time has the advantage of being able to be easily moved and once the parties are over you can use it for tea with friends or as a pocket emptier, in an entrance hall or on the desk.

The tray is even more fun if you associate it with placeholders, which can for example become objects that at the end of your Christmas lunch you can give to guests. You can also leave them in the tray in the middle of the table, and at the end of the dinner use it to distribute your gifts to guests.
